- 2 cups warm water
- 2 pkg dry yeast
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 6 1/2 - 7 cups flour
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup shortening
Dissolve yeast in water. Ad sugar, salt, and half of flour. Beat thorougly with spoon (2 minutes). Mix in egg and shortening. Gradually add rest of flour. Stir until smooth dough. Put in greased bowl, cover with damp cloth, and refrigerate overnight. Shape into rolls while cold. Place rolls on greased baking sheet and let rise 2 hours. Bake at 400 for 12-15 mins.
